Leading International Program
No other program offers as many courses as Equinology INC and Caninology. We feel your education should be presented by the best in the field in a classroom setting with plenty of hands on instruction. The comprehensive material we offer is supervised by instructor participation not distance learning. While distance learning works for some subject matter, applied techniques need to be supervised for accuracy and value. If you were planning on receiving a massage, wouldn’t you prefer a practitioner that attended a program for the fine tuning and the modification required with on-site training rather than a practitioner who earned their “certification” from a book, video or other distance training? Wouldn’t you also feel more confident and assured knowing that your chosen body worker has been examined by the issuing certification institution and completed case studies before earning their certificate?

Progressive Equine Certification Levels
Courses at Equinology, Inc ® are presented in modular formats with the total hours adding up and going well beyond a 2-year course for those who continue to the Master Equine Body Worker (MEBW®) level and the Specialized Certification series. In addition to our Equine Body Worker (EBW®), and the Equine Body Worker Level II (EBWII®), we offer an additional 3 Specialized Certifications consisting of Equine Acupressure, Equine Myofascial Release and Equine CranioSacral Techniques. Although these courses are available for everyone to participate, to be officially certified by Equinology, Inc ® one must have attained either the, EBW, EBW Level II or the MEBW certification.
Monitored Externships
We go the step beyond a “business” education service through the compulsory externships that accompany each course. We provide a set of guidelines for each externship which includes case studies so that students can build on and assimilate all the information from each course, before testing for each level of certification. We feel we can answer questions a student may have during the case studies and fine tune their techniques through the use of a video which the student submits at the end of certification level testing. We are proud of our name and our graduates. With a 95% externship pass rate (80% is required to attain the certification in both practical portions of the externship), successful graduates have been extremely well prepared and accepted as equine body workers.
Recognized by Multiple Organizations
Equinology is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. Equinology's courses are approved and recognized by the International Equine Body Workers Association (www.iebwa.com), UK's McTimoney Chiropractic Association and the Society of Osteopaths in Animal Practice.
Courses Suitable for Professionals and New Students
The Equinology program is aimed towards serious students who strive to be leaders in their chosen profession. Our courses are regularly attended by professionals such as veterinarians, physical therapists, human massage therapists, equine massage therapists, trainers, barn managers, and chiropractors as well as those who are just beginning their studies. The courses are taught in such a comprehensive logical format, that individuals with little or no complementary equine care and science background will find themselves up to speed with the other professional participants as long as they have good horse handling skills and understand equine behavior.

In addition to our great equine courses, you’ll notice we began canine massage certification courses in 2005 for Canine Body Worker Level I (CBW®).
